Marie Antoinette
November 2 1755- 16 October 1793, Marie was a daughter of the emperor of Austria Francis l and of Empress Maria Theresa. In addition she was also the Queen of France, and a small region of northern Spain called Navarre. At a very young age of 14 Marie had an arranged marriage to Louis-Auguste, who was the eldest son of the king of France. In May 1774 at the death of king Louis XV her husband King Louis XVI clamed the throne, then Marie had seized the title of Queen of France and Navarre. Both married couple had problems with making a child o be next in the throne, but after 7 years of their marriage Marie Antoinette gave birth to a daughter Marie- Therese Charlotte.
The French citizens however came to a point where they had a dislike for her, they even accused Austrians of her irresponsible rule even to the appearance of her wardrobe and styles, Marie loved to create different crazy hairstyles that were very unique. It would most likely be the French Women, who raged at her , especially on the March of Versailles, which was thousands of reformers storming down the road of Versailles in Paris, shouting “Bread!”, and demanding to see the king, Louis XVI. She tried telling her husband to come to an agreement with the angry mob, or reformers. People had in thought of what she had quoted earlier in the revolution, what was her answer to the starved people of France by saying “Let them eat cake”. This story is considered to be false but it is what helped the view of her bad reputation.
The king and her demanded to go back to Paris, they marched to Paris followed by their crowd of French, who now had a closer access to the King. Their escape had failed.

How foolish would it have been if there was proof that Marie had said "Let them eat cake", what would you do if you were a starved French!?

Well, there wasn't much that could be done. If you were a starving French peasant, you wouldn't have any rights and nobody would listen to you. The only way out of this crisis was revolution.

It is not true that Marie Antoinette said " let them eat cake", that was just a story that a radical press spread so that people would go against the queen. If i was a starved french, i would join the revolution and try to make things equal for everyone.

If I were a peasant, I would also have joined the Revolution. It was unfair of them to instead of caring for their people, only cared for themselves.
