Francisico Pizarro expedition in Peru

Post  ebeli on Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:05 am

After hearing Hernando Cortes talked about his adventures and how he talk so beautifully about the Americas, it inspired Francisco Pizarro to go and discover, explore new things and see things . Francisco Pizarro arrived in Peru in the year 1532, helped by Indians Pizarro captured the emperor of the Incas called Atahualpa, after convincing thousands of his followers to join him. The arrivals of the Spanish in Peru change the Incas Life’s. The Spanish demanded a huge ransom for the ruler Atahualpa. The Incas paid it but Francisco Pizarro and his followers killed Altahualpa anyway. Everything fall apart for the Incas, they had no emperor, a lot of Indians join his side, and anyways they didn’t had an advance technology and this were the main reason why the Incas empire fall apart. After everything happen, the Spanish invaders took over the Incan heartland.. I love you sunny Wink lol!

Yes, it seems that someone from a foreign land comes and takes over your land and people, but like nathan sais, the one with more power always wins, and in this case it was the spanish. Actually when pizarro arrived in peru the incan empire was already in decline. When Huayna Capac died, he divided the incan empire in two. He give one half to Atahualpa and he gave the other half his brother Huascar. Both Atahualpa and Huascar wanted complete control of the empire so a civil war erupted. Atahulpa defeated Huascar, but that debilitated the incan empire greatly. It was around this time when the spanish conquistadors arrived in peru.
