Antony and Cleopatra

Around the time when Julius Cesar died, Antony and Cleopatra began their relationship. By 41 BC, Antony and Octavian shared the leadership of Rome dividing it in two. Antony planned a military campaign to conquer the Parthian Empire, but he needed money to be able to do that so he look for Cleopatra for money, seeing s he was the richest woman in the world at the time. They decided to meet in Tarsus, and as soon as he saw her, he fell in love. They got married in 36 BC, and Antony gave her parts of Rome as a wedding present. Octavian was so cross, he declared war against Antony. During the war, someone lied to Antony and said that Cleopatra was dead, and in shock, he committed suicide by falling on his sword. When Cleopatra found out about Antony's death, she got a poisonous snake to bite her.
