Earthquake in Nepal

Post  Vasilisa on Mon May 04, 2015 11:06 pm

On April 25th, 2015 in Nepal one of the worst things could have happened, earthquake. An earthquake was 7.8 and has killed more than 7,000 people, injured 9,200 people, and way more missing. It didn’t just effect Nepal because as well as that it hit India, China, and Bangladesh. The earthquake hit the mountain Everest as well, killing 19 people and making it the most dangerous day on the mountain. Thousnads of people are homeless with big losses. The risk of an earthquake was noticed before in 2013, although it wasn’t certain when it would occur.

Happily the people on this planet have hearts and the motivation to help the helpless. Some of the countries had donated a lot of money and others donated food, first aids, people for searches, etc. The country that stood out to me was Great Britain. As the government had collected 7.7 millions, British though of including their own donations, 7.7 million as well. In the end it was the country wo donated the most money, in the end 23.14 million.

This is such a terrible thing that happened to the people that didn’t deserve it. It kind of feels relevant to the people in Caribbean since we are so far away, however it's not. We are supposed to help the people in need and maybe it could be as small as sending  prayer to them and their families.

What is your opinion on the earthquake of Nepal?
