Judaism in the New Roman Empire

Post  isaacbueno.4 on Sat May 02, 2015 5:05 pm

It started with the conquered land in 63 BC, who the Jewish were having their peaceful independence. After in 6 AD when the Jewish kingdom Judah was still together the Roman made it a province which was control by a procurator. So many Jews during the time Rome was controlling the land were passing bad things to one another of how they weren't going to become like them and how they’ll make a revolt. In 66 AD the Jew had a revolt which they lost, and the temple was destroyed. Very Happy

Great topic!
The zealots rebelled against the Romans, because they didn't want to treat the emperor as a god, even though they had a rare chance to save their religion. As result all of the Jews were either killed or they've suicided.
