Second Triumvirate in Rome

Post  isaacbueno.4 on Sun Apr 12, 2015 11:52 am

This happened after the death of Caesar’s death, which lead again to three men joined forces to form the new Triumvirate. They were:
1. Octavian: Was Caesar’s heir and grandnephew.
2. Antony: Caesar’s ally and assistant.
3. Lepidus: Commander of Caesar’s cavalry.
Lepidus was the men who died in war, which than lead to Octavian and Antony to separate the Roman world into two. Octavian took the west and Antony the east, which later on leads to a conflict. In 31 BC the Battle of Actium occurs which took place in Egypt Octavian was fighting against Antony by what he was doing with the queen of Egypt, Cleopatra the seventh. Who Antony and Cleopatra fled from the place and committed suicide together. Very Happy

This second triumvirate was kind of like the first one. Lepidus was the first to die of the three of them. Antony had fallen in love with the queen of Egypt, Cleopatra VII. Antony had also committed suicide and so did Cleopatra after the love of his life had died.

Nice topic!
So the second triumvirate want so different from the first one. The main idea of it is to share the power among three military and government leaders equally.
