Siddhartha Gautama

Post  Alianny on Mon Mar 09, 2015 7:21 pm

Siddhartha Gautama was the peson who created Buddhism. Before his mother was pregnant with him, she had a dream about a white elephant and that was bascially a signal that his son would grown to become a holy man or a powerful ruler. Since, Siddhartha Gautama was born, he was always kept at home and never to go out,s o he wouldn't face the dangers of the outer world like touching an untouchable. Once, he was out of the palace and he saw a dead man, a sick man, and an old man. He thought about the suffering and the pain and decided to look for a cure for suffering. He shaved his head, change his clothing and left his home and family. He started learning from other priest, meditating, and fasting until he came upon a tree. He lasted 48 days sitting under the tree just meditating until he learned the cure for suffering. It was to follow the Four Noble Truths:
1. Life is full of suffering.
2. Suffering comes from the desire for long life and richness.
3. A way to cure suffering is by overcoming desire.
4. A way to overcome desire is by following the eightfold path.

Great job, Alianny! Two things, first of all, you should probably check your spelling next time, and second of all, he had a conquest. When he went out of the palace for the first time, he saw a sick man, an old man, and a corpse. That made him think of why there is human suffering, and so, he went on a quest. When he arose he found the answer, and those were the Four Noble Truths. Other than then, great job!

Great work, Alianny! Siddhartha Gautama was not only the finder of buddhism, but he also was the "enlightened one". He was a person that created the cure of suffering by overcoming the addiction to a material.
