February: the first industrial revolution

The industrial revolution started in Britain in the 1780’s due to resources, new technology, the economic, political, and social conditions. They had good trade with overseas empires, their population was growing, there was a new class (the working class), and many entrepreneurs were willing to risk their wealth in new ventures. Stable government supported the economic growth and built strong navy to protect empire and overseas. The first industry to was the cottage industry where everyone worked in separate houses with their families, they produces textiles, which was anything with cotton. Their main resources consisted of Coal and Iron, which they later processed. The Displacing peasants of land was a cause of the enclosure movement,
