Social Class of India

Post  isaacbueno.4 on Sat Feb 21, 2015 5:46 pm

The social class of India was reflected by the idea s of the Aryan society which came from different regions near India. The society in Indian when the Aryan were there was divided into four varnas, which are the social group that people were ranked in from high to the low ones. The four varnas were:
- Brahmins which were the priests and scholars.
- Kshatriyas which were the warriors and rulers.
- Vaishays which were the merchant and landowners.
- Sudras who were the workers.
Still there was another one, but it was too far from the social structure which was separated who was the untouchables (impure, outside of the caste system). Than by the time the Aryans were drawing their ideas to the caste system, which was the social structure. The people were certain which part they were in the caste system by what was its family. Very Happy

Good job Isaac! Did you know that the Hindu people believed that if you had good karma than you would be reborn into a person from a higher varna/caste system, but if you had bad karma you would be reborn into the body of a person from a lower varna/caste system? I think that you talked about a very interesting thing, great job! Very Happy

Good job! Hindu society was divided into 4 different categories by the Caste System. You put some really good definitions of each caste. Nice topic!

Good job!!!
You have a social class (Brahmas) you can get united to the Gods. Also the Social caste depends on your life
if you have a good one or if yo have a bad life. GOOD Karma or Bad Karma.

they would go to a higher level or go to a lower level.

Great job!!
It is because of these social classes that the reincarnation processedd is organized. If you have good karma, you go higher in the social class on ce rincarnated. If you have bad karma, you go lower. You only stop going higher once you have reached moksha.

Great job, Isaac! “In the Hindu society, there is such thing known as the caste system, in which every person is placed, representing their importance in life. It is important for all to be in the higher levels of this system so that they can feel more supreme and have more power in life. As well as that, once you have achieved good karma in a few life-times, you may go up to Moksha, uniting with the gods”. Every time you received bad karma, and you have then been reincarnated, you fall into a lower class and no one wanted that. They had to do the absolute best in their life to be supreme with the gods.
