Life of a Spartan Warrior

Post  Alianny on Tue Feb 10, 2015 6:09 pm

The Spartans had a very organized system. They were merciless people, but they were known for being the best and most skilled warrirors. At the age of seven, they were sent to the barracks where they were whipped, trained, and learned how to steal. Basically, they only enjoyed 6 years of their childhood. While being in the barracks, you learned to kill and thats why not many survived. When you were about 20 years old, you graduated. That was probably the happiest day of your life nad your parents would be very proud. Then, it was various years of keeping yourself in shape and going into war. At the age of 30, you could get married and have a family. If you survived from all the battles, then when you were 60 you would retire and just be part of making decisions in the government.

Alianny what you have written about the Spartan life of a person was really good. It is, because you have mention about what certain age they go into the barracks, and what age they leave. Another thing that was good is when you mention that when they turn age sixty they would retire, but still they become an elder. The thing that was good you said was when the Spartan were a merciless people because of their behavior and how they always like to fight. Still what you mention was great. Very Happy

Great job and explanation, Alianny! You said very true stuff indeed. A Spartan had a very complex and strict life. While women stayed at home, being healthy, the men fought and fought. When they were 20, they started the army and stayed there until the age of 60. Yes, they could get married at 30, but that doesn’t mean that they would survive, sadly.
