Ancient Chinese Religions

Post  Alianny on Wed Oct 29, 2014 6:57 pm

At the beginning of the Chinese civilization, the religion was polytheistic, but that changed. Some of the religions were:

Buddhism: it came in the 2nd century from India, and the religion is based on suffering, and abandoning your dreams. This religion basically says that a person does will not have a life of suffering if they speak the truth, have justice, believe in love, etc.

Taoism or Daoism: founded by Lao-tse, this one basically explains that a human being should have a relationship with nature, and that people should abandon their dreams and find happiness instead.

Great post Alianny! Did you know that the Chinese believed in supernatural forces? They also believed in life after death. They thought that they could communicate with the gods through the oracle bones. They thought that these oracle bones could tell them the future. You explained those two religions very well, good job! Very Happy
