Judaism

Judaism is the religion of Israelites. It is monotheistic, which means that Israelites believed in only one god. The sacred book of Judaism is called Torah. The ten commandments are written there. As we know from the History class, the Ten Commandments were given to Moses by the god on Mount Sinai. The ten commandment are:
-You shall have no other God before me.
-You shall not make any graven images.
-You shall not take the name of the Lord Thy God in vain.
-Remember the Sabbath day, keep it holy.
-Honor the father and mother.
-You shall not kill.
-You shall not commit adultery.
-You shall not steal.
-You shall not bear false witness.
-You shall not covet.

Good Job Dasha! Did you know that Moses was chosen by god to free all the enslaved Jews? The Pharaoh released the Jews after the tenth plague. These plagues were:
1st: Water to Blood
2nd: Frogs
3rd: Lice
4th: Wild Animals or Flies
5th: Diseased Livestock
6th: Boils
7th: Storm of Fire
8th: Locusts
9th: Darkness
10th: Death of Firstborn

When we started learning about this religion in class, it was very interesting. I always wondered who was the jewish god. The story on how Isaac almost got killed by his father because god told his father to kill him, so he would really know if Isaac's father believed in him. That story was very interesting. Smile

Dasha this was an interesting topic of yours, “Judaism”, which we studied a long time ago, but if you didn’t wrote about that it was okay. Something good that you mention was that they believed in only one God which they were monotheism. Another is that was great was that you mention the Ten Commandments that Moses was given by God in Mount Sinai. Another thing Dasha you could have mention was the Torah, which has five parts that they are: The Genesis, The Exodus, The Leviticus, The Numbers, and The Deuteronomy. Dasha was good what you had said but next time expand a little bit more. Very Happy

Good work!!!
It is very scary because in order for god to know that he was not lying about him being monotheistic God sent him to kill his child, but thank God he stop him before he could have killed him. Good Job!!
