The Impact of Geography

Post  rosim. on Sun Oct 12, 2014 12:01 pm

China has one of the world's oldest culture. It also has a very high population
Which has over 50 Ethnic groups that speak several different languages. People will live near the rivers, The Huang or Yellow River, The Chang Jiang or Yangtze River, these river were good because they have a rich soil which are good for cultivation for people to live. It made it much easier for them because they could settle.there and have their own vegetation and have fresh water for Henri drink, cook, shower and etc.
But not every where in China you could farm. There is only 10 percent of fertile soil in China and the rest is only deserts and mountains more to the north and west frontiers. It is good for China because they had conductivity some other countries that were near it. And the different people that would live in the frontiers were no the same as the religions in China and that would make a conflict between them.

Rosi this is a very interesting topic about China. This is, because you have added a lot of information about the Huang or Yellow River, which were two important natural resources in China. This is, because it helped in the farming and in housing roles like you has said. Something is that we still aren’t in that section so you could have talk about something we had done next time before we even haven’t talked about this. Very Happy

Wow, just reading that paragraph, I learned a lot about China. I cannot believe there is only 10% of fertile soil there. That means that there must not be a lot of agriculture over there, but as you explained, it doesn't really matter that much to them. Your topic was interesting and I also learned a lot about China. Great Job, Rosi!!

Impacts by Geography

Post  Ophirkes on Tue Oct 21, 2014 3:19 pm

WOW! Isn’t it amazing how geography has such a great impact on countries and the people living in those countries?! China is a country that has a great impact by its geography because without the help of its geography… China wouldn’t be the same country that it is today. The way that people adapt to the places they live in is really awesome because they adapt to the culture, traditions, and way of life. Like in China, even though only 10% of the land is suitable for farming, people use every last inch of it! You know, a country that has an even greater impact with such things is India, but this is already a different subject…
