The Torah

Post  David Strauss on Sat Oct 11, 2014 7:55 pm

The Torah contains of five books: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. The Torah is Jewish most sacred text. It is so sacred that when people read it they have to use a stick with a hand in the top in case something happens. The Torah is originally written on a scroll. It is written in Hebrew and when you are done reading you roll it up.

Good job. Also the Torah is really long and for.people to finish reading it it would probably take at least a year. Also they would use some sort of stick.to go.along the words so that the don't get lost while reading it.

David this was an interesting topic, but you may have added that it is referred as Pentateuch in English this is the central Jewish tradition. Another thing you may have added was that rabbi tradition was found in the Torah and from when God told Moses, and some in Mount Sinai. One thing you could have added was that the Torah is read from right to left. What you have said David was very useful, but you could add these facts also. Very Happy

The Torah

Geart work, David. Did you know that Judaism influenced religions such as Christianity and Islam? And as well as that, The Torah is also known as the Old Testament, which is the most sacred text in the Jewish religious tradition. In the Torah, there are five books, which are:
• Genesis
• Exodus
• Leviticus
• Numbers
• Deuteronomy
The story of the Israelites begins with Abraham, the forefather, and the covenant he made with God. From there, the story goes into many different directions and expands into the other four stories. The Israelites still exist today and even became an independent country!
