Pyramids

There is about 80 well known pyramids in Egypt. Pyramids were built to preserve important people in them and to also show off their architecture. There are three really large pyramids in Egypt, but the biggest one is the Khufu also known as the "Great Pyramid" in Giza. This pyramid was built for Khufu (the pharaoh) and it is the biggest pyramid and well preserved.

Egyptian Pyramids

Post  Ophirkes on Mon Oct 13, 2014 8:09 pm

Well done, Volney! Did you know that from the hundreds, possibly thousands, of pyramids that were built in Giza, only about 100 remain today? Well yes, it’s true. With the time, most of them have been either not discovered yet or maybe even destroyed during wars. The biggest pyramid is Khufu, indeed. The two other biggest pyramids after this one were the Khafre and the Menkaure pyramids.

Good Job Volney!!!
that is true, they will build a pyramid for every pharaoh that would dye. Once they were dead they would mummify, which they would take their brains out a nd oragns and they would put it inside a jar and they will save it insede the pyramid.
GOOD WORK!!

Well done! Right, the pyramids were build as tombs for pharaohs of Egypt. Once the pharaoh died he was mummified and his mummy was set down in the pyramid.
