Egyptian Stories

Post  Alianny on Sun Sep 28, 2014 9:44 am

Egypt has an interesting history, but it also has many interesting stories, legends, and myths. Some of these stories are:

The Seven Year Famine: which is the story on how Khnemu, a god, saved Egypt from a flood which could have produced a seven year long famine.

The Girl with the Rose-Red Slippers: it is a story similar to the Cinderella story. It could have probably been the first Cinderella story; recorded during the 26th dynasty.

The Shipwrecked Sailor: is a tale about a lone survivor of a shipwreck.

Myths and Others...

Post  Ophirkes on Sun Sep 28, 2014 1:11 pm

Egypt must have been a very "antique" place at the time. I had no idea that it had so many different myths and fairytales, and if you think about it, some of them still last today. That is a very magnificent topic to write about because just imagining all the different creations that they made and how we reproduced them to match the time in history is just breath taking. I mean, look at Cinderella for example; we changed it to match the twenty-first century. At that time, it must have been a whole different story!
