The Colosseum Empty The Colosseum

The Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, was the largest building in the Roman Empire. The emperor, Vespasian ordered the construction of this amphitheater in 72 AD and it was completed by 80 AD. It was probably renamed the Colosseum because of the colossal statue of emperor Nero nearby. Like a Star @ heaven

It is said that there have been over 500,000 people and animals that were killed throughout the duration of the Colosseum. The Colosseum has over 80 entrances and can accommodate about 50,000 spectators. At this time the Colosseum was really important and was good for the people of Rome because they had a distraction.

The Colosseum was one of the greatest creations of ROman Architecture ever. The Colosseum was home of many gladiator fights.
