Hannibal's Defeat Empty Hannibal's Defeat

Post  Joshua T on Mon Mar 31, 2014 1:07 am

The Carthaginians, after many years, have almost reached Rome. Hannibal's army was very exhausted, dehydrated, and tired. To make matters worse, along the journey, Hannibal lost many men and elephants due to the natural obstacles and mini wars that they confronted against Roman Allies. Upon reaching the Roman walls, Hannibal realized something. They did not have siege equipment. Siege equipment were tools that would allow you to break through walls. The Roman walls were nearly impossible to break without this equipment. Climbing the walls would be impossible. They would be killed right away. The Carthaginians were left with no other choice but to surrender.
