Hadrian Wall was built by the emperor Hadrian, it was built to keep out the Picts, or nowadays the Scottish. They began the construction of this wall in 122 AD. The wall is 117 kilometres long, 3 meters wide, and 6 meters tall. They used local material to build it, and 4 million tonnes of stone were used. It was built by Roman legions, eighteen thousand soldiers worked on it, and it took 15 years to build.

That's cool. It was built for the same reason as the Great Wall of China except on a smaller scale and for different people.

Is the wall still standing today? It must be so big if it took 15 years to build! Nice post Smile

The wall is located in Northern Europe and extends for about 73 miles. The emperor, Hadrian, wanted to make sure the soldiers stationed on Hadrian’s Wall were happy. He met with each of them, helped, and encouraged them to do better, he was a great supported. It is a really great and famous wall, I would love to visit it.
