Homer: the blind poet

Post  CicelyS on Mon Jan 13, 2014 5:34 pm

Homer is one of the most famous writers/authors of all times, and the most mysterious. There are many rumors and myths about him, and since he lived such a long time ago, we cannot even tell if Homer was one person, or even blind... His most famous books are The Iliad and The Odyssey. They tell the tales of the Trojan War and Odysseus returning home to his wife afterward. They are known for their detail and beautiful wording. Because of Homer we have a large mystery on our hands: The Trojan War, many people would like to know if it actually happened, but who knows if we will ever know?  Question

The stories that Homer wrote are incredible and it would be really cool to know if they actually did happen or not. I hope they one day find more proof of Homer's existent and the war because it would be really great to know if it happened for sure. Even though we dont know if it's actually real yet, people still believe it is more than they believe it is not.

His stories have been incredible and sure have inspired many people! I find it outstanding how people still haven't been able to figure it out if they were real or not. And as jasmine stated it would be great it they could find out. That was an amazing topic cic! Keep it up! Wink
