Ancient Egypt

Post  Joshua T on Sun Sep 22, 2013 10:15 pm

Ancient Egypt was a civilization of the past. It had the six traits of a civilization that were government, religion, writing, advanced cities, art/architecture, and social structures. Ancient Egypt was located next to the Nile River. A couple times a year this river would overflow and fertilize all the soil around. The Egyptians took advantage of this and the farmed. They had a lot of surplus. Ancient Egyptians wrote in Hieroglyphics and they mummified the dead. A Pharaoh is an Egyptian king.

Nice topic, you developed it nice. I liked how you included some other information at the bottom about ancient egypt. However, i wanted to add that the plant that they used to mummify their dead was found near the river. This also showed how the river was to their advantage! Smile
