Evacuation at Dunkirk

Post  maddie on Wed Jun 05, 2013 7:30 am

When the Germans just went around the Maginot Line they split the allied armies. They trapped the French troop and the british army on the beaches of dunkirk. The Allied forces felt hopeless. They were trapped. The Germans would just keep pushing them further and further back until they could go no further. In a heroic efforts by the royal navy and private citizens of Britten, they evacuated 338,000 allied troops. Mostly British but they did rescue some French troops.
