The Rise Of Hitler

Post  maddie on Fri May 03, 2013 2:56 pm

This just in, today, January 30th 1933 Adolf Hitler rises to power as chancellor of Germany after president Paul von Hindenburg gave his power over peacefully. There was talk of an uprising in the people if the powers did not switch. The president wanted to avoid conflict at all cost, Germany was still recovering from the World War and couldn't afford its people revolting at this point in time. Because of Hitlers political views we are holding our breath to see how this power shift turns out. Hitler has us all worried with his supporting of fascism and totalitarianism. Even though on the Treaty of Versailles it states that Germany must stay a democracy Hitler is disregarding it. We tuned into one of his speeches and found some very interesting and puzzling things were said about a perfect race. Now we did research some about Adolf Hitler and found some quite appalling things he wrote in his book "Mein Kampf", translating into "My Struggle." this was a book written when he was put in jail for two years. This book sates horrible racist thoughts. If Hitler puts these racist ideas into his government it can only go bad. Lets keep out fingers crossed and hope that that wont happen.
