The period of Enlightenment was a time when great things occurred in Europe. Almost all Nations were prospering. The Enlightenment was a time of prosperity. This happened because many famous thinkers thrived during this aura. Artist, scientist, philosophers, and writers were all part of this revolution. One of the great inventions of that aura was Gutenberg's printing press.

The printing press aloud the literacy levels to go up all over Europe. Books were now printed in vernacular. Before the printing press was invented book were only written in Latin. Very few books were found written in anything else but Latin. Now everyone could have books in their houses. This new level of education for everyone inspired more people to thrive to achieve more. The first book printed was the bible. Before this all books we written by hand.

It is also good to know for the exam the relationship between the scientific revolution and the age of enlightenment. The scientific revolution was only about science, but it is what influenced the enlightenment. The age of enlightenment was about many important cultural things, philosophy, writing, art, and architecture were among them.
