Christianity becoming the head of Rome

Post  Brock M. Hay on Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:34 pm

For many years after Jesus's death Christians were persecuted and discriminated. This was partially because the idea of Christianity, salvation, and worshiping the Christian church would put people's attention away from Rome with all of its glory and pride for thier nation. Which they were actually right, religion i what caused the dark ages, which was like eight hundred years of Europe becoming a war torn hell in which there was zero human advancement. If there wasn't a dark age (caused by religion) our world today would be eight hundred years more advanced, just imagine! It was all for what they thought was salvation, thanks religion Evil or Very Mad ! Anyway the other reason was that the notorious emperor Nero caused this huge fire in Rome an claimed the Christians did it. That caused years and years of Christian suffering that came to an end when Constantine ruled Rome.In order to retrieve his salvation, Constantine wrote the Edict of Milan in 313 AD, which made Christians now tolerated, also he was babtized before death, and became the first Christian emperor of Rome. This isn't where Christianity cmpletely rules yet though. In 381 AD Christianity became the religion of Rome and then they actually outlawed and persecuted pagan religions. How ironic, the religion that was persecuted and was discriminated, persecuted and discriminated other religions once they got into power. Once the Christian ways became stable, the church was the richest wealthiest power there was (also leading to the dark ages, thanks again by the way for making us not solve enviromental problems and not inventing hover cars by 2012). There was one church for every county or district, each owned by a priest. The preists would answer to the Bishop, the leading patriarch of that country dealing with economic and social issues of Christianity. Since Rome was the first Christian nation the bishop of Rome was named the opoe, the highest human spiritual authority there was of Christianity. You just really like to take it out on religion don`t you Brock. Well I did think it was intresting, what you said about being eight hunfred years in the future.Who knows, if we had eight hundred years more of killing the earth, we might be dead right now. Did Nero actually make a fire, and why. Oh well its those damn Christians right Brock?
