Moses and the Hebrews

Post  JodievanIeperen on Wed Oct 05, 2011 9:53 am

Moses was a guy that was spoken to by God. He was born as a Hebrew. But at the time all the Hebrew sons were killed. So his mom put him by the Nile River in a basket. The Pharoah's daughter found him and brought him home and he was treated as a Egyptian prince. When someone beat one of the guys beat a Hebrew slave up, he killed the guy that did it and ran. God talked to him threw a burning bush. God told him to go back and save all the Hebrew slaves. He went back and told the Pharaoh God had told him to let all the Hebrew slaves go. He also warned the Pharaoh if he didnt do this a disaster would happen for the next ten days. Each day before something happend he went to the Pharaoh and warned him and told them to let the slaves go. The Pharaoh didnt. The last day was the worst, and all the first sons of the Egyptians where killed by God. The Pharaoh let the Hebrews leave. They had to hurry, because the Pharaoh soon changed his mind and told his armie to go after them. When they got to the red see, god told Moses tohold up his rod and arms, and the Red Sea opened up while he did. They crossed, and when they got to the other side the ocean shut close, and the whole armie was whiped out. This his how Moses and God saved the slaves.

Nice blog Jodie, Moses is a great example of a holy prophet, he wasn't perfect but he had the human inner spirit all the same. Moses was slow at tounge, he wasn't a great public speaker. But what is strange is that there were so many prophets in the past, but not any now besides crazy people in the loony bin who claim they are prophets. Why do you guys think there are no prophets from god in the modern world?
