The old stone age, or the paleolithic era was the beginning of tools, simple tools to be exact, and sculptures. The easiest that come to mind are spear heads, stone knives, jagged throwing rocks, etc. What else a historian might wonder. well for drinking water they needed some progressive drinking way, so the sculpted and shaped cups. Others would include, spear sticks, meat cooking-hangers, bone knives, arrow heads, etc. we get much more in the old stone age, or neolithic era.

Now, coming to 10,000 B.C.E, we have the agricultural revolution. This brings in the invention/discovery of work shops specialized for sculpting use. We also get farming tools such as trowels, shovels and more.Hunting advances include, fine edged long spears, accurate bow staffs, plates, eating knives, better cups and plenty of others that are possible.

You can see how we now use similar tools in the same ways. You can make easy connections from the neolithic age and now. These are all of our origins, no matter where your from or where you live.
