The Printing Revolution
During the Renaissance, in Europe, a great invention was made by a German man named, Johann Gutenberg. At the time, Gutenberg was a goldsmith and business man in a mining town in Germany. He borrowed money from the town to make a world changing invention, the printing press. He invented the printing press with replaceable wooden or metal letters. After two years of editing in 1456 he finally printed his first book, The Bible. After this Bible was printed, printing presses were set up all over Europe. Within ten years it had spread to Italy, France and England. In approximately 50 years, 35,000 editions were printed. This method of printing was not only credited as a revolution, it was also a great advancement for the science, arts, government and religion through texts. After this revolution a lot of good changes were made. The production of books was way faster because they weren't hand written and cheaper than they were before. People were learning how to read and write because they were exposed to books that caught their attentions. New ideas were spread throughout Europe and they sprout. People became more aware of religious facts because they would read the Bible.
Gutenberg was a smart man who made one of the greatest inventions in history. If it weren't for him the world wouldn't be as developed as it is now.
What do you think would've happened if Gutenberg never made this invention? Would the world be as developed as it is now?

Re: The Printing Revolution
I dont think that the world would be as advanced as it is today if the printing press wasnt invented, afterall it helped many people learn how to read and write. Also if books were not printed they would cost 2 or 3 times more then they are now and we would not have any books to do our education with.

Re: The Printing Revolution
The printing revolution had many good effects which were more literacy, the books were more affordable, almost everyone could read them because they were translated into vernacular. This brought great change i the world!
