The Second Industrial Revolution

Because the Second Industrial Revolution was mostly on technology it also became known as the Technological Revolution. The recognition of the second industrial revolution was mainly because of Henry Bessemer's creation of steel. Steel and the new technology would trigger the Second Industrial revolution. In the first industrial Revolution, Britain lead the way, now industrialization was spreading all over western Europe, one of the first countries were Germany, France, and even the United states. Bessemer's project was known as "the Bessemer process", steel was the most important creation at this time, because it was lighter, more durable, and stronger than iron. More and More science was developing, and as all these creations emerged life became so advanced. Besides steel, many inventors like Thomas Edison, who had created the light bulb also contributed as an effect to the industrial revolution, because now the workers were able to run the machines all night, and more products would be produced. Other inventions like the internal combustion engine- Nikolaus Otto, Battery- James Watt these inventions were mostly used to convert energy into a useful mechanical motion, a great role to the Revolution. Other creations like communication, and transportation were also a major affect of the Industrial Revolution. The first communication system was the telegraph, created by Samuel F. B. Morse in 1844, it became a very important network in the United States. Further, was the creation of a transportation figure, the automobile, firstly by Karl Benz, and then Michael Ford's creation of the assembly line, which made things faster and more manufacturing was made. Besides the other inventions that helped built a modern world these creations were all a part of the Second Industrial Revolution. As a result Technology has been evolving non-stop; nowadays people are still creating new things that teaches us that we are still Industrializing.

Do you think that we are going through a third Industrial Revolution?

I think we are going through a third Industrial Revolution. Only decades ago there was no internet, cellphones, computers, etc. Today we're progressing in technology really fast. It's hard to imagine our lives in ten years.

There is a video on youtube that kind of describes what our future in 2030 will be like. some people think that the houses we live in will be like giant computers where we will have moving photos, walls that act as tv's/cellphones, electric stoves, etc.
