Medieval warriors used many kinds of weapons. There were many kinds of swords, such as the great swords. the great swords were two handed swords. they were larger version of the ordinary swords. They started to become popular in the 13th century. there was another very useful sword, the shiny sword. This was used during 1460s. This sword is very diffrent from the others. it was probably made for rich knight. There still were more weapons. There was the battle ax, used by knights or Vikings. this kind of weapons developed in northern Europe. There were many kind of diffrent ax. Another one was the pole ax. Knights would sometimes use two handed ax, but the smaller single ax was easier to use on horseback.
The smallest weapons this knights used, was the dagger. they didn't used this that much until 14th century. The lance, were long and came in diffrent sizes. They were made of wood. Maces were another weapon amde of wood. they had spikes stuck into them. Bows and arrows, were used too. longbow is one kind of arrow and bow. This was usually made of wood.
