The Seven Wonders - Old, Medieval, and New

The Ancient Wonders.
The Seven Wonders from the ancient times until today's date are to show the manmade structures throughout time. The old or also known as Ancient wonders, are the first ones on the list. The Seven Wonders included:

1.Great Pyramid of Giza
2.Hanging Gardens of Babylon
3. Statue of Zeus at Olympia
4.Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
5.Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus
6.Colossus of Rhodes
7.Lighthouse of Alexandria

In this category, the only one still standing today is the Great pyramid of Giza. It was built near the ancient city of Memphis for Pharaoh Khufu. The Greeks named it as the Pyramid of Cheops. According to Mysteries of the Unknown, it covers a ground area of 13.1 acres, composed of some 2.3 million limestone blocks average two-and-a-half tonnes each, enough stone to build a wall of foot-square cubes two-thirds around the globe at the equator, a distance of 16,600 miles (26 500km).

The Modern or Medieval Wonders.
During the 19 and 20th centuries, some writers said that wonders of the world have existed during the middle ages, althought that it is unlike to have been proven true since middle ages havent been invented before the Enlightment era. Many of these structures have been built wa before the Middle ages, but are still well known. Some are:

1.Stonehenge
2. Colosseum
3.Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa
4. Great Wall of China
5. Porcelain Tower of Nanjing
6. Hagia Sophia
7. Leaning Tower of Pisa

The New Seven Wonders.
Even today there are some manmade structures that are recognized. These are:

1.The Great Wall, China
2.Petra, Jordan
3.Christ Redeemer, Brazil
4. Machu Picchu, Peru
5.Chichén Itzá, Mexico
6.The Roman Colosseum, Italy
7.The Taj Mahal, India

But not only are these the only wonders of the world. There are also underwater wonders, natural wonders, modern wonders, industrial wonders, and many more!
