Alexander the Great's Death
Alexander the Great died in Babylon at age 32 in 323 B.C because of a sudden fever. Although people think there are other reasons of his death no one knows what the cause was for sure. When Alexander was laying down dying, all his commanders were surrounding him, they asked him who he wanted to hand down his empire to if he died, and his whispered answer was, "To the strongest."
Although Alexander was a successful warrior for only thirteen years he achieved things that other people couldn't in that amount of time. Alexander was known as one of the most important warriors and he never lost any battles. Although he had a very short empire he made changes that would affect the Mediterranean and Middle East for a very long time. One of the successful changes he made was of the Greek culture.
Although his wish was for the strongest person to take over his empire, there was no one that was strong enough to be as successful as him. Years later three generals divided the empire, Macedonia and Greece into one general, Egypt into another and Persian into another. For around 300 years people fought to get the lands that Alexander conquered in only thirteen years.

Re: Alexander the Great's Death
Alexander the Great conquered a lot of land in a very short period of time. He was perseverent and never gave up. In his last conquest he retreated because his warriors were very tired and he needed to plan the next conquest, Unfortunately he died, but he expanded the Persian empire a lot.

Alexander the Great
In my opinion Alexander was a very wise man with great ideas. The fact that he conquered so many places in a short amount of time, makes people remember him throughout history. I bet many were jealous and tried beating his conquering time.

I think it would me more logical if they wanted to kill Alexander! I can't believe he never lost a battle, and was one of the biggest achievers with the biggest empires.

Re: Alexander the Great's Death
It took Alexander the Great only 13 years to conquer Egypt, Greece, and parts of Asia. People worked for years to conquer as much land as the Macedonian empire, yet Alexander was very young. He died in his early 30's and not even because of war, but because he was sick. Its very impressive that he never lost wars. Other people were not strong enough to control all the land he had, so they had to split it into 3 different leader, and they still failed. Three grown up men couldn't take care of an empire of one young man.

Re: Alexander the Great's Death
It is true that it is sad that such a great emperor died however it made a lot of other people happy because he would of not comquered more land. I think that if alexander died of such a Spontanious fever he wiould of ruled all the land that the people in that time would of knon and made he would of ben the first person to rule the world as they knew it.
